Okay, so at Rakel's comment I thought, "aw that is sweet. Rakel is so nice. She must see something I don't." Cause to be honest, I almost did not put that photo in... I do not like it that much. And then dear Melanie posted that she agreed. And I began to think... are they crazy??? and then K. good grief girl... what is this???? some sort of conspiracy to get me to post photos that I don't like of myself cause everyone else thinks they are great? sheesh.
Okay, I am not really upset, a bit confused and needing to change my perspective maybe...working on that... working on it. yeah... working on it.
Hey girl....can't you take a compliment? We really do like all of the pictures you post...but that one was NICE!!

ReplyDeleteI just LOVE photos. It's after 10pm, the rest of my fam is in bed and I'm surrounded by pictures that I've not scrapbooked, but they're going into a "cheater" slip in album. Then, I can at least see them and scrapbook when I have the time. You are a beautiful gal. God has made you who you are for the time and place you are in. Keep sharing yourself and let us pat you on the back from time to time. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou know, my dad once explained to me why photos of ourselves look funny to us...
ReplyDeleteWhat you see when you look in a mirror is a flip image of what you see in a photo. But other people see you in the same perspective as a camera would. Think about it... so if your face isn't perfectly symmetrical (which none of us are) then it will always look different to you in a picture. So, whether your face is "backward" in a mirror, or flip flopped, or just regular perspective, you're always beautiful! Just from several perspectives! Cool, huh? There are so many ways that God has made us beautiful, and i can always see the heart beauty shining through in you. Thanks for delighting in the Lord!
I could say something very funny, but I have deleted it and decided to write this instead. You are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhy has it take everyone so long to figure out what I have known since she was 7? I have a beautiful - inside and out - daughter!
ReplyDeleteDad
Dear daughter...I fear you are trying to pick apart something that is ....just IS! If beauty is "in the eye of the beholder" and the Beholders say that they SEE IT....you must believe them. You cannot deny them that reality.
ReplyDeleteand the deepest thought identified so far, is that the beauty of your heart shines through. There is the quality of beauty that lasts.
Remember Abigail...Smart, beautiful inside and outside...and an ACTION GAL! You 2! Love, MOM
