Where I have been

well... last week... I went from snow to palm trees and sun.... Austria to Southern Italy...

And then to Rome, Italy...yes folks.. that is the coliseum... and that is me standing outside of the coliseum

And this is the Vatican in the distance... over the swollen river...there are concerns of flooding in central and southern Italy due to the tremendous amounts of rain.

  1. K, where in the world are the Palm trees? I never saw Palm trees in Roma!?! Cute outfit in the picture with the coliseum. Love hearing your travel stories, and seeing pictures. Amazing what the Lord has for you when you say "Here I am". Thanks friend.

  2. Yeah, we're having one of those palm tree sort of days too! Like a tropical heat wave, only temperate tropical heat waves! :) Ok that just means I live in Oregon. We are suppose to get ice and snow tomarrow, but I must confess that I will believe it when I see it! Hope you had a great time and enjoyed the Romans and their buildings! I have enjoyed the buildings at Multnomah. They are kinda of like the Colisium, big, in the process of renovations...needing a good paint job! Lots of people visit too! Ok, probably just to walk past on their way to classes! Gosh! I am just imagining Rome here in my mind. Love ya, Ti

  3. Hey there, world traveler! You look tired in the Coliseum picture. Remember not to run on fumes, K?

Stopped and got a Starbucks at "your" Gresham branch office tonight on the way home to PV.

Been praying for all the legs of your journeyings.

Does Eurpoe have Christmas time Dad/Daughter Banquets?

  5. Thanks for the pictures, they are fabulous! You are having such an fun time aren't you (minus the possible stress from work). But I can't believe you were right there in all those places! Thats so amazing! You just keep right on enjoying your temperature changes while we sit here and listen to the weathermen tell us lies about snow and ice (I'm glad about the ice though, we don't need anymore accidents. :) Well, we're prayin for ya girl, take care of yourself on all your world travels. Love ya tons!

  6. WOW Melissa! It reminds me of when I lived in Austria and left the snow to go to Italy to work with Russian Jews in Ladispole, Italy for Christmas. Lad- is right outside of Rome about an hour to the coast. I totally identify with you. By the way, did you get hit up by any gypsies? They really have a ring around Rome.

  7. Mel, love your pics! Ah, Roma! Nothing says Italy like those cheesy "gladiators" outside the Colisseum just waiting for your 30eu for a picture with them. I miss it. More importantly, I miss you friend.

  8. I love your pictures, Melissa! Enjoy your snow for us in Oregon where it's freezing but not white yet. I'm hoping for a white Christmas, though!

Stay strong and well. Love you.
